'Only begotten' in the Bible

no man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten son, who is intimate with the father, hath made him known.

for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

he that believeth on him, shall not be condemned: but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the only begotten son of God.

by this was the love of God displayed towards us, in that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live thro' him.
